About Jacquelyn Umof (aka Action Jacquelyn):

Jacquelyn is an international yoga and fitness trainer, educator, speaker, and founder of her two online training programs – Get Stretchy, a yoga therapy stretching program, and the Stretchy Fit App, a yoga-fitness monthly membership app helping women gain flexibility, strength and confidence at home. She’s a former ballerina, NBA Laker Girl, ballroom dancer and celebrity fitness trainer. However, in her career she found herself suffering from crippling anxiety and panic attacks. This led her down a path to discover a natural solution to her suffering instead of medication. After one of her first yoga experiences, Jacquelyn found that when she became present in her body the anxiety went away. The anxiety couldn’t survive in the present moment. After this pivotal moment, she realized she had the least anxiety when she had the most mind-body connection. This has inspired Jacquelyn’s work after her transformative breakthrough experience. Jacquelyn is passionate about educating people on the importance of stretching and how it builds a better, stronger relationship with their body and mind.

  3. Loved this workout and looking forward to the others! As an ex-gymnast I find it so refreshing to be able to isolate and lengthen my muscles this way. I love lifting weights but tend to bulk muscle easily so I’m looking forward to getting my longer body back! I’m a barre convert

  4. Not sure if this is advised in the barre world (I’m new) but when she said pretend like you have a book on your head I grabbed one and used it the rest of the leg portion! I have a background in ballet and I remembered doing this all the time! It’s a nice challenge! Thanks for the class! Loved it!!

  5. I love this program! I miss my Barre body … It felt better and made me more confident. When my favorite trainer moved to Beachbody (I hate the vibe over there) I kept working out from a different app. No offense, but her "Barre" workout were not Barre. Though she did lots of cardio and HIIT, I didn't like how I looked. I found Jacquelyn in YouTube and I am so happy! I will be getting the app once my other subscription expires. For now, I am following along here in prep for my graduation from my master's program!!! I love the way I feel already (I started with the 5 day Barre babe challenge and I already feel a difference).   7. Hi, I am new to this channel on YouTube, and I hope someone may be able to offer a suggestion for me. Can anyone suggest a modification to support the lower back during the early part of the workout section with abs on the floor? My back will not be able to sustain those curved positions. Perhaps a small core ball? Thoughts? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice. Happy Barre!

  8. I'm a nursing student and have fallen off the workout wagon, due to lack of time. I had always thought if I didn't have at least an hour to dedicate to working out, it wasn't worth it, UNTIL I found your videos! They are difficult, and I'm definitely sweating by the end, and sore the next day, and it just lightens my mood the rest of my day, and I even study better! Thank you so much for sharing these! <3

  9. I’m not getting married I’m a stay at home trying to stay in shape since my gym no longer offers childcare.. I danced my entire childhood and did ballet when I was a little girl so I really LOVE how regal, strong, and beautiful these workouts help me feel. Thank you!!!

  10. I didn't sweat like I normally do during her workouts but this is a real burner, especially for the glutes. Perfect when you want to feel toned without too much cardio. P.s: the weights do make the difference! 😉

  11. Hello Action Jacquelyn, I have always wanted to learn Ball Room dance but never got to it. I can not afford lessons in my current economic state. I believe you were a dancer before YouTube fitness. Can you or anyone reading this please recommend a YouTube channel for BallRoom dance instruction?
